The commitment of marriage always has been, always will be challenging, but God's design is way beyond our greatest imaginations. I love what Gary Thomas says -- marriage is designed to make us holy as much as it is to make us happy (paraphrased). It's a daily school in Christlike thinking, living and loving. I've failed way too many times, but John and I are coming up on 39 years next month and I'm so thankful for God's grace that has carried us through each one of those years! We are trophies of that grace. The best way I can think to describe my feeling of my marriage is that it's "home", and I love being home. Faith, thank you for your brave honesty.
